My journey with SOP began in the fall of 2016 after choosing to apply to only two schools, Stern and Columbia. While my GMAT was competitive enough, I understood I needed to put forth a very compelling and thorough application in order to elevate myself above the fold. After my candid and honest consultation with Kathryn, I knew SOP was the right choice. The initial time frame was tight but we devised a very clear and concise working schedule in order to hit key deadlines. At the onset, we spent hours on the phone crafting a tight strategy in advance of putting pen to paper. I think one of their differentiating factors was the ability to peel back the onion to truly sharpen my career narrative to articulate what I wanted to achieve with a graduate degree. Throughout the entire process, they were incredible partners, available at all hours of the day and working around my schedule. They had a knack for keying in on areas I could develop and round out, always pushing for the best results. I was ultimately very proud of who I presented in my applications. Late in the fall I was disappointed to have been turned away at Columbia and wait listed at Stern. Despite the setback, it was evident they were extremely well versed in the game plan and we did not miss a beat. We immediately began devising my wait list strategy for Stern. We continued to work tirelessly on material updates, support letters, etc throughout early Spring. I am now ecstatic to report that I received a phone call this last April and I will be attending Stern with the class of 2020!
