Based on a very positive recommendation from a former colleague, I hired Square One Prep for two mock-interviews – one for Kellogg and one for HBS. I’m so glad that I did. Square One Prep far exceeded my expectations, offering a level of responsiveness, flexibility, compassion, knowledge and bluntness that was incredibly helpful:

Responsiveness – When I sent my consultant emails, she always responded immediately. And if I didn’t reach out when I needed to, she would initiate contact in order to keep the process moving forward. With all the demands of work and business school applications, it was great that I didn’t need to worry about managing our relationship.

Flexibility – On several occasions, I needed to move the times of our calls around or change some of the details of the package that I purchased. My consultant was always amenable to these changes, working around my issues with ease to ensure I got exactly what I needed.

Compassion – After my first mock interview, sensing my needs would exceed what I could afford and that I was preoccupied by that, my consultant assured me that she would spend the necessary time to make sure I am prepared for my HBS interview without charging more if we exceed our engagement time. Her focus was my success, not her bottom line.

Knowledge/Bluntness – Best of all, my consultant knew what she was talking about and was very straightforward with me – whether it was about helping me grasp how to show fit, how to best tell my story, or how to best make a memorable mark on the admissions committee. For instance, I had an answer all ready to go for the “is there anything else we should know about you” question. I thought it was solid. My consultant ripped it apart during our mock interview, helping me rethink my approach in order to leave my interviewers with the best possible impression. When I received that very question at the end my real interview, I was ready. I nailed it thanks to Square One Prep, and I can’t wait to begin at HBS in the Fall!
