Katherine (Kitty) loves to mentor and coach individuals. She thoroughly enjoys learning about each person’s past and helping them achieve their professional goals. Her affinity for process and experience in project management lend well to guiding clients through the tricky MBA application process.
Katherine is an alumnus of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Finance, Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Organizational Behavior. As a Chicagoan, she continues to stay actively involved in the Booth community. Katherine studied accounting and finance at Indiana University, started her career in audit at Deloitte, and then shifted her focus to finance. Prior to joining Square One in 2016, Katherine worked in various finance roles at a small venture capital office, a technology startup, and publicly traded companies in the consulting, health care, and energy industries. She also previously served as an independent MBA admissions consultant, helping individuals tell their unique stories to achieve admission at their target school.
In her free time, Katherine enjoys dining at ethnic restaurants in Chicago, mentoring businesses on finance and strategy at 1871 (an incubator for technology startups), traveling to Asia, baking desserts from scratch, and attempting to refine her yoga practice of 20+ years. Her favorite new class is “flying yoga.”
