Piersten Gaines

Piersten Gaines is passionate about advising, mentoring, and coaching. For the past decade, she has dedicated her time to helping others reach their full potential – as a tutor, coach, and most recently, as a business school admissions advisor. She has given her time to organizations such as Management Leadership of Tomorrow and Harvard Business School Admissions to help applicants put their best foot forward with their business school applications. She is steadfast in her commitment to helping applicants illustrate what makes them unique.

Piersten has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University. During her time at Harvard Business School, she held board positions with both the Retail Luxury Goods Club and the African American Student Union, was a member of the Harvard Business School club soccer team and participated in several panels, webinars, and sessions as a representative for the Harvard Business School Admissions team. While at Columbia, Piersten was a member of the Division I women’s soccer team.

Prior to business school, Piersten lived in New York City and was a fashion retail professional – working for companies such as Calvin Klein, Prada, Gilt Groupe and Bloomingdale’s in roles ranging from Operations to Merchandising and Buying.

Piersten is currently living the start-up life in Atlanta, Georgia as a founder in the Digital Undivided Incubator. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and, given her 20+ years as a competitive athlete, staying in shape.
