April Stewart loves coaching and mentoring others, which explains why she has advised female business school applicants through the Forte Foundation, coached youth through the Whitney M. Young Scholars and Eagle Academy mentorship programs, and now guides clients at Square One through the challenging business school application process. When working with her Square One Prep clients, April particularly enjoys getting to know each individual's personal story and helping them craft a compelling narrative that highlights their unique strengths.
April received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bryn Mawr College and a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, where she served as the Director of Sponsorships for the African American Student Union and as a member of the Retail & Luxury Goods Club. April has a longstanding passion for innovation in retail and is fascinated by how consumer behavior drives rapidly emerging retail trends. She has experience in the management consulting and retail industries, having served as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group and a corporate strategy professional at Macy's.
In her free time, April enjoys traveling in Europe (Italy and France being her favorite countries) and staying in shape through strength training, pilates and hip hop dance classes.
