Cindy Li is a big believer that everyone has a great story to tell. Growing up with a journalist father and a mother who worked as a translator, she learned from an early age about the beauty of language and the power of words. She has a genuine interest in helping clients find their “voice” to bring out their best authentic self. She works with each client to unearth their unique stories, connect the dots in their personal and professional journey, and align them to what the admissions committees at their dream MBA programs are looking for in future students.
Cindy holds an International BBA with honours from the Schulich School of Business at York University, and an MBA/MA from the Wharton School and the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. While at Wharton, Cindy served as a Communication Fellow, helping students improve their public speaking and persuasion skills.
With a background in management consulting and public policy, Cindy has worked with a myriad of stakeholders (from local not-for-profits to global Fortune 500 companies). She knows how to bridge different communication styles as well as create trust that allows her to discern what motivates her partners. She applies those skills with her clients at Square One.
Currently residing in New York City, Cindy is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and speaks French at an intermediate level. In her free time, Cindy enjoys reading, working out, and planning her next big trip.
