Kayin Barclay

Kayin Barclay is committed to holistically investing in the next generation of business leaders and helping them transform their careers through the MBA experience. Kayin has served as a mentor for over a decade and enjoys helping his clients discover and communicate their “why”. Kayin is a hands-on coach and empathetic listener who genuinely wants to get to know you. Ultimately, Kayin’s goal is to be the coach that he wishes he had during his application process, and to ensure you have the brand of success he enabled for himself.

Accepted to all three schools that he applied to, Kayin is a graduate of Harvard Business School, where he was co-president of the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition Club. For his undergraduate studies, Kayin attended Morehouse College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, named a Presidential Scholar and selected as a J.P. Morgan Launching Leaders Scholar.

Over the course of his career, Kayin has worked as a management consultant (McKinsey & Company), investment banker (Barclays Capital), and private equity investor (Insight Equity). Uniquely positioned to advise candidates who have similar backgrounds or are interested in pursuing such roles post-MBA, he also relishes working with folks with non-traditional backgrounds.

Kayin has lived in seven major cities in the U.S. but now calls Dallas, TX home. In his free time, he enjoys trying out his wife’s new recipes, rooting for University of Georgia football and playing chess. Kayin is nationally ranked in chess and became a chess master in 2008.
