Lee Wang loves helping people find, define, and enable the next steps in their lives and has been doing just that for more than 10 years in a variety of capacities. During his time at University of Texas at Austin where he got a BBA in Finance and Management Information Systems, he founded a student investment fund and a student consulting group to help underclassmen explore career opportunities. While at Harvard Business school where he earned an MBA, he was a career advisor at Adams House. Today he uses the mentorship and career advisory skills he’s honed to help his Square One clients ensure their next step is a top business school.
Lee began his career in technology investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and later worked in Corporate Development at Yahoo, where he did both M&A and internal strategy, ultimately helping sell the company. Since then, he’s been involved with startups in growth and business operations roles
Lee lives in San Francisco, where he spends his free time doing what west coast people do – rock climbing, discovering the food scene, listening to podcasts, and reading. He loves building things and exploring, especially that one time he converted a work van from scratch and traveled around the U.S. and Canada for half a year. Lee speaks Chinese with conversational fluency.
