Advising for Square One isn't just a profession for me – it’s a passion. I bring an unwavering commitment to helping candidates understand their potential and surmount the kind of obstacles that once loomed large in my own path.
I was an engineer pre-MBA, having earned two BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Penn State, as well as a MS in Bioengineering. As I advanced to become an R&D lead at Stryker, I found my purpose in mentoring junior engineers through high-pressure situations as they embarked on their professional journeys. Having faced similar challenges when I was in their shoes, I could empathize deeply with their experiences.
Similarly, it's my intimate familiarity with the daunting task of building MBA applications that fuels my passion for my work at Square One. As I worked on my applications, doubts swirled within me. What did I want with my life? Would I be a good fit for any top MBA program? Without the support of my mentors, I’m not sure I would have secured offers.
As it turns out, I was a great fit for Harvard Business School. I thrived in the environment, graduating as a Baker Scholar (top 5%), and I became the only student to ever author, publish, and teach two case studies while still at Harvard.
Today, I am a management consultant at Strategy& in New York where I leverage my passion for coaching to guide strategic partners through mergers, acquisitions, and integrations. In my free time, I love everything sports. I was an elite gymnast for 20 years and an NCAA All-American on the rings. I still look for that competitive rush whether it be in bowling, pickleball, or board games.
As you stand on the cusp of your MBA journey, know this — you're not alone. Let's embark on this journey together, where doubts are dispelled, careers are envisioned, and dreams are realized. I will be with you every step of the way.
