I love connecting with people to learn and appreciate every individual’s unique life story, personality, and hidden traits to unlock and showcase their full potential. I have worked in several industries (consulting, NGOs, and CPG) in several countries (US, Eswatini, and Zambia), and pivoted my career post-MBA. Thus, I keenly understand the value of distinctive experiences and how they can enhance one’s candidacy to business school, as well as opportunities post-MBA. I enjoy helping my clients craft their distinctive experiences in an impactful and persuasive way to further their life and career goals (such as gaining admissions to dream b-schools!).
My diverse worldview and experiences were formed throughout my life and career. I was born in Japan to Chinese parents and grew up in a first-generation immigrant family in the U.S. I started my career at Accenture as a consulting analyst, advising product and retail clients in the U.S. I then moved to Eswatini where I was a Fellow (Volunteer Consultant) at TechnoServe and developed guidance for Eswatini’s cotton and honey industry. Afterward, I moved to Zambia where I was an Expansion Lead for One Acre Fund, responsible for country-level strategy and input delivery execution in rural Zambia. Today, I’m a Principal Program Manager at Whole Foods Market, managing several E-Commerce programs for 500+ stores within the U.S.
I have a BBA in Supply Chain Management from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where I received the full-tuition Feldberg Fellowship, the school’s most prestigious award. At Columbia, I was a Leadership Lab Fellow and involved in the Social Enterprise Club, where I led two consulting projects with Pangea Advisors in India and Uganda. I also participated in Asian Business Association, the Greater China Society, and Africa Business Club, supporting various social and networking events on and off-campus.
In my free time, I love to play basketball, ride my longboard, cook, read, and travel. I have visited 50+ countries and love to try every kind of cuisine and street food wherever I go. I am fluent in Chinese and Shanghainese.
