Sean Cameron is passionate about helping his Square One Prep clients succeed. An investor, reader, writer, and storyteller, Sean has a background in investments, creative writing, finance, and teaching that provides a rich lens to help his Square One clients develop their applications in ways that captivate admissions committees. His approach is direct and supportive, with a genuine interest in getting to know you.
Sean has applied to and attended three competitive schools: first Phillips Exeter Academy, then Princeton University, and finally to Harvard Business School, where he received his MBA in 2010.
At Princeton, Sean served as a residential adviser and mentored students through the Economics Department. At HBS, Sean served as the Education Representative for his section and later Chair of the Education Committee, providing a bridge between faculty and students toward the development of a more enriching academic experience. He also has taught Economics, Financial Investments, and Behavioral Finance at Harvard. Further, he has served as multiple-time speaker at the Harvard Business School and MIT Sloan Investment Conferences on investing in financial markets.
Professionally, Sean has worked in investments and finance, first at Goldman Sachs in New York in the securities division as a fixed income trader and then investment banker. Since graduating from HBS, Sean has worked at PIMCO as a fixed income portfolio manager and at Massachusetts Financial Services as a research analyst.
Sean lives in Boston and in his free time enjoys running, having completed 13 marathons including 5 Boston Marathons. He brings his zeal for running, investments, and mentorship with him as an adviser for Square One Prep where he enjoys building collaborative partnerships with his clients.
