I greatly value helping others. It’s why I am a physician and an advisor with Square One Prep. My mentorship style mimics my bedside manner; it is thoughtful, direct, and supportive. Aware that applying to business school can be stressful, I am prepared to work with you to ease the burden and help you achieve your goals.

I graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Neuroscience and BA in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh. During my junior year, I studied abroad at the University of Cambridge. After graduation, I began pursuing my MD at Harvard Medical School. As a medical student on a service trip in Zambia, I became more interested in healthcare infrastructure and health care delivery which prompted me to apply to and enroll in the joint MD/MBA program with Harvard Business School. I am now a resident physician specializing in neurosurgery at the University of Michigan. Since graduating, I’ve integrated my MD/MBA experience in various ways, including publishing on value-based healthcare in the New England Journal of Medicine, conducting operating efficiency research, and working with multiple medical startups including GC Therapeutics and Viz.Ai.

I have a long track record of mentoring students interested in medical and business careers, and even served on the Harvard Medical School admissions committee.

When I’m not busy performing brain or spine surgery, I enjoy traveling (favorite trip thus far is Thailand), following basketball (go Lakers!), and trying new foods (highly recommend Portuguese pastel de nata). I also speak fluent Arabic.
