Before starting my application, I was really worried about my underwhelming work experience and lack of personal differentiators. I consulted with a friend who worked with SOP last year, who spoke highly of their level of professionalism. After talking with Kathryn over the phone multiple times, I was confident that her team would help me bridge the gap between my profile and my ambitious business school goals.
My team (Kathryn, Wendy, Bailey, Victor) are truly miracle workers. They brainstormed with me over and over again and helped me both understand and hone in on what I needed to convey to the adcom. With their help, I was able to push myself to review my life stories on a much deeper level than I ever had. They also constantly challenged me to polish my career narrative to perfection. I especially appreciate that they were never afraid to say “no” when my ideas didn’t work out, and always provided constructive (and sometimes harsh) feedback. At the end of the day, I was able to tell a genuine story that incorporated my value, experience, and future career vision.
I wouldn’t trade my partnership with SOP for anything, and would highly recommend them to anyone who finds it challenging to craft a unique story.
