Hi there! My name is César Monarrez and I bring keen attention to detail, impactful writing techniques, and strategic decision making to each interaction with my clients. Every applicant has a fascinating story to tell, and I help clients unveil their true ambitions and motivations through personal conversations and close collaboration. Friends and family always turn to me for resume and application advice because I find fulfillment in helping others showcase their talents and translate lived experiences into future success.
I received my BA in chemistry from Harvard, an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS). I was also fortunate to receive numerous unsolicited scholarships including a Dean’s Fellowship from MIT Sloan and a full tuition Presidential Scholarship from HKS, awarded to 5% and 1.5% of admitted students, respectively.
My interest in advising MBA applicants stems from a career focus on human capital and employment. I’m fascinated by the role that work plays in our lives and am dedicated to creating opportunities for every person to leverage their personal strengths to build meaningful and empowering careers. Before graduate school, I worked as a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton for the US Department of Labor in Washington DC, and in non-profit executive recruiting at Isaacson, Miller. Currently, I’m a workforce transformation consultant at PwC.
I was born and raised in Chicago, IL but live in Boston now. Outside of work, you can usually find me taking a pop artist themed spin class, planning a summer trip to the Cape, or shopping for new additions to my fish tank. I love meeting new people and am excited to be a dedicated thought partner on your MBA journey!
