During my career, I have honed my skills as a marketer and strategic storyteller (to audiences including CEOs, Boards, investors, team members, and consumers). As an Advisor at Square One Prep, I love applying these skills to help clients build and communicate their own unique “pitches” to admissions committees. I am passionate about helping clients articulate their life stories, personal interests, and future goals in authentic ways that vividly bring to life what makes them extraordinary individuals, future MBA community members, and next-generation leaders. As an Advisor, I see my role as a combination of cheerleader, sounding board, project manager, and tough-but-fair coach.
I started my career in Management Consulting at Oliver Wyman, after graduating from Yale University, summa cum laude, with a BA in Economics. Later, I attended Harvard Business School to build my basic business knowledge and make the leap into consumer marketing, as I was fascinated by consumer behavior. At HBS, I was the Admissions Representative for my 1st year section, frequently hosting prospective students in class. Since HBS, I have held various Marketing roles at companies such as PepsiCo, Safeway/Albertsons, and Peet’s Coffee. Now, as an independent marketing and strategy consultant, I work with brands ranging from startups to Fortune 500 corporations to solve customer and business challenges.
Outside of work, I love to teach, advise, and connect. My passion project since 2021 has been developing and teaching a course on customer loyalty and retention at Stanford University’s Continuing Studies Program. For the last 15 years, I have interviewed Yale undergraduate applicants as an alumni interviewer. I participate in non-profit board work and advise two early-stage consumer startups. I round out my day biking, reading, and spending time with my husband and pup in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.
