I was initially hesitant about using an admission consultant and decided to do my due diligence and called around to different consultancy firms. I found SquareOne to be the most thorough about reviewing my profile before our initial discussion and the result was that Kathryn was able to provide insightful observations into my candidacy that I felt was lacking from other firms. This personal touch, instead of just being another number, swung my decision to using SquareOne.
I decided to use SquareOne to apply to 3 business schools. From the first discussion around my background, SquareOne challenged me to think deeper and explore my experiences to draw out the best of my candidacy. In particular, I found the discussion around my career narrative insightful, as they transformed my relatively weak pitch into a strong, clear and purposeful one. Throughout the process and in particular with the essays, I found the feedback to be critical but always constructive and this process allowed me to submit a high quality application. SquareOne was very accommodating, even when deadlines were tight, and were always available when I required them. Their encouragement and dedication throughout the process allowed me to feel secure in the application process, a process that is quite daunting having never gone through it before.
Such was the strong foundation that SquareOne allowed me to develop for my applications that it gave me the ability to easily leverage that information to apply to additional schools – although it wasn’t required as with SquareOne’s help I was admitted into one of my top choices for business schools. Ultimately, I would highly recommend SquareOne to any candidate but especially those like myself who are unfamiliar with the application process or require that extra polish on their applications to take in from being ordinary into something special.
