I spoke to a few consultancy firms, and quickly knew after speaking with Kathryn, the founder, that I wanted to work with Square One Prep. She spent the first 30 minutes listening to my background, understanding what I was applying for, why I wanted to get an advanced degree in business analytics instead of an MBA, why I think I needed assistance, and questioned my career goals with the intent of making me think critically about my career path. She assured me that Square One would be able to help clarify that path and make my goals a reality and I’m thankful I trusted my gut because that is exactly what happened. 


I didn’t have a clear plan identified for what I want to do after getting my Master’s in Business Analytics but with the help of my career narrative expert, Luis, as well as my advisor Matt and Kathryn, I was able to deep dive into why I was making this decision and really picture what I could see myself doing upon graduation. This process was daunting and incredibly introspective and each of them pushed me to think beyond the surface and carefully questioned each of the decisions and thoughts I had made so that the path I outlined was honest and realistic. This made me more confident in my decision and I think that was a crucial part of ultimately getting accepted into my dream school. Additionally, my advisor Matt H. was always there for guidance and helped fine-tune each of my essays to make sure they were addressing the questions as best as possible all while maintaining a limited word count. He ensured that I was well prepared for my interviews by performing a mock interview and analysis and made sure that I was able to get my applications across the finish line. Finally, all three were always quick to respond and made sure I was able to meet my application deadlines and I always appreciated their professionalism throughout the process. 


Getting into a school I have dreamed of attending for almost 20 years still does not feel real and I am 100% confident this would not have happened if it weren’t for the expertise and support of Square One Prep. The application process wasn’t easy, but it felt a little less terrifying knowing I had this team backing me and making sure I was prepared. I am grateful to have partnered with Square One on this journey and I cannot recommend them enough.
